Recent data has been released indicating that almost 70% of US middle and high school students see e-cigarette advertisements from at least one source, including retail store advertisements, internet, television and movies, and newspaper and magazines.
E-cigarette advertising expenditures have increased dramatically in the United States in recent years, from approximately $6.4 million in 2011 to $115 million in 2014. With the increase in e-cigarette advertisement expenditures, we have also seen an increase in youth e-cigarette use.
