February is American Heart Month. Did you know that smoking is the biggest cause of preventable death in the United States?

Smoking not only affects lung health, but it also affects heart health. Smoking is a huge risk factor for coronary heart disease, heart attack, and stroke, among many other chronic health conditions.

For women, heart disease and stroke kill 1 in 3 women in the United States, and the majority of cases are preventable. This year, February 5 was National Wear Red Day for women!

Men and women, quit smoking today, for your family, friends, health, and, of course, for your heart. They all will thank you.
